1. What this website uses
We use two types of browser-side storage on this website:
- necessary technical storage for language and storing your cookie choice,
- Google Analytics 4 analytics cookies, but only after your prior consent.

- hs-lang - stores the selected interface language,
- hauer-cookie-consent - stores whether you accepted or rejected analytics.
We use these items so the website works correctly and so we do not need to ask for the same choice again on every visit.
3. Google Analytics 4
If you consent, we load Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-3E16B9BBL8. We use it for basic website traffic and behaviour measurement, especially to understand which pages are visited, how far visitors scroll and which outbound links they click.
According to Google's documentation, Google Analytics 4 JavaScript tags use first-party cookies _ga and _ga_<container-id>, which by default expire after 2years.
In the current implementation we do not use Google Ads, remarketing tags, Google signals or ad personalisation. The Google tag is therefore used only for anonymised website analytics after consent.
4. What data is processed for analytics
When analytics is enabled, online identifiers and technical data may be processed, such as cookie identifiers, information about the page visit, approximate location derived from the IP address, device and browser information, referrer data and event data about page views, scrolls and outbound clicks.
In the current setup we do not use enhanced measurement in Google Analytics for internal site search, form interactions, video interactions or file downloads.
The implementation also keeps Google advertising consent parameters set to denied, so advertising cookies and ad personalisation are not enabled through this tag.
Google states that for visitors from the EU, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, IP addresses are not logged or stored in Google Analytics. They are used only to derive approximate geolocation and then discarded.
5. Legal basis
- necessary technical storage: legitimate interest in ensuring the website works properly,
- Google Analytics 4: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Analytics cookies are not loaded before you explicitly allow them.
6. Recipients and transfers
When analytics is enabled, the recipient of data is Google Ireland Limited and, depending on the specific processing flow, other Google group entities including Google LLC. Processing may involve transfers outside the EU or EEA, including the United States.
On July 10, 2023 the European Commission adopted the adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. If a specific transfer cannot rely on adequacy, other appropriate safeguards under GDPR apply, typically standard contractual clauses or another relevant mechanism provided by the service provider.
7. Retention period
Technical items stored in your browser remain until you delete them or change the settings yourself. According to Google documentation, Google Analytics cookies are generally set for 2 years unless removed earlier.
The retention period for data inside the Google Analytics interface is configured in our GA4 property to 2 months for user-level and event-level data.
8. How to change or withdraw consent
You can change your decision at any time using this button:
After consent is withdrawn, we stop further analytics measurement. You can also delete cookies directly in your browser settings. Google also offers an official browser add-on to disable Google Analytics: Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
